Another version of “Can Muslims be good Americans?”.

This is very interesting and we all need to read it from start to finish and send it on to everyone else.
Maybe this is why our American Muslims are so quiet and not speaking out about any atrocities.

Can a good Muslim be a good American?

This question was forwarded to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years.

The following is his reply:

Theologically - no.. Because his allegiance is to Allah, The moon god of Arabia ..

Religiously - no... Because no other religion is accepted by His Allah except Islam. (Quran, 2:256)(Koran)

Scripturally - no... Because his allegiance is to the five Pillars of Islam and the Quran.

Geographically - no.. Because his allegiance is to Mecca , to which he turns in prayer five times a day.

Socially - no... Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Politically - no.... Because he must submit to the mullahs (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America , the great Satan.

Domestically - no... Because he is instructed to marry four Women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him. (Quran 4:34 )

Intellectually - no.. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically - no... Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran does not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.

Spiritually - no... Because when we declare 'one nation under God,' The Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as Heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in the Quran's 99 excellent names.

Therefore, after much study and deliberation... Perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. - - - They obviously cannot be both 'good' Muslims and 'good' Americans.

Call it what you wish it's still the truth.. You had better believe it. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future.

The religious war is bigger than we know or understand!

Footnote: The Muslims have said they will destroy us from within – believe them, they have been at this since the mid 600s or 1500 years. They murder for Allah.

Beauty Contestant Katya Koren stoned to death by Muslims for being in pageant

May 31st 2011 BY Larry Mcshane Nydaily News Staff Writer

A would-be teen beauty queen was stoned to death after her participation in a Ukranian pageant reportedly infuriated local Muslim youths.
Katya Koren, 19, was targeted by three fellow teens who said her seventh-place finish in the beauty contest was a violation of Muslim laws, according to British newspaper reports.
One of the suspects, identified as 16-year-old Bihal Gaziev, told authorities that he had no regrets about the stoning because the dark-haired Koren "violated the laws of Sharia."
The teen's battered body was found buried in the forest near her village in the Crimea section of the Ukraine. She had disappeared a week earlier.
Koren, described by friends as a stylish dresser, finished seventh in the beauty pageant. The British newspapers said the girl, just like her attackers, was a Muslim.

The November 5, 2009 massacre at Fort Hood and Muslim soldiers with attitude

By Michelle Malkin - November 6, 2009     7:39am Eastern press conference…Ft. Hood officials disclose that the murder victims included 12 soldiers and 1 civilian…first responder heroine who shot Hasan is in stable condition…witnesses still being interviewed “all through the night”…they confirm that Hasan was wearing his uniform…

I was traveling to Wichita for a speaking event/fundraiser when news of the Fort Hood massacre broke. Please continue to pray for the 12 murder victims [update 11/6: now 13 dead] and their families, and the 30 wounded and their families.

Allahpundit at Hot Air has a massive, blow-by-blow post on all the latest developments. The Christian Science Monitor profiles Nidal Malik Hasan, the Muslim soldier identified by the military as the shooter:

Terry Lee, a retired Army colonel who knew Hasan, told Fox News about a story he heard secondhand. He said a fellow colleague had told him that Hasan had made “outlandish comments” about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and US involvement in them and that “Muslims had a right to rise up and attack Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan.”

“[He] made comments about how we shouldn’t be over there – you need to lock it up, Muslims should stand up and fight against the aggressor,” Lee added.

But the suspect’s cousin, Nader Hasan, gave Fox News a different picture. He said his cousin had never deployed but was affected by the war and had been concerned about his impending deployment.

“He would tell us how he would hear things, horrific things, things from war probably affecting him psychologically,” Nader Hasan said.

From AP:

His name appears on radical Internet postings. A fellow officer says he fought his deployment to Iraq and argued with soldiers who supported U.S. wars. He required counseling as a medical student because of problems with patients.

There are many unknowns about Nidal Malik Hasan, the man authorities say is responsible for the worst mass killing on a U.S. military base. Most of all, his motive. But details of his life and mindset, emerging from official sources and personal acquaintances, are troubling.

“Troubling.” And familiar.

At least six months ago, Hasan came to the attention of law enforcement officials because of Internet postings about suicide bombings and other threats, including posts that equated suicide bombers to soldiers who throw themselves on a grenade to save the lives of their comrades.

Here’s the Scribd comment of Nidal Hasan:

There was a grenade thrown amongs a group of American soldiers. One of the soldiers, feeling that it was to late for everyone to flee jumped on the grave with the intention of saving his comrades. Indeed he saved them. He inentionally took his life (suicide) for a noble cause i.e. saving the lives of his soldier. To say that this soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. Its more appropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause. Scholars have paralled this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy soldiers. If one suicide bomber can kill 100 enemy soldiers because they were caught off guard that would be considered a strategic victory. Their intention is not to die because of some despair. The same can be said for the Kamikazees in Japan. They died (via crashing their planes into ships) to kill the enemies for the homeland. You can call them crazy i you want but their act was not one of suicide that is despised by Islam. So the scholars main point is that “IT SEEMS AS THOUGH YOUR INTENTION IS THE MAIN ISSUE” and Allah (SWT) knows best.

Those of you with long memories will remember all those who came before Hasan. Here is my column from March 2003 on Muslim soldiers with attitude:

Sgt. Asan Akbar, a Muslim American soldier with the 326th Engineer Battalion, had an “attitude problem.”

According to his superiors and acquaintances, Akbar’s attitude was bitterly anti-American and staunchly pro-Muslim. So how did this devout follower of the so-called Religion of Peace work out his attitudinal problems last weekend?

By lobbing hand grenades and aiming his M-4 automatic rifle into three tents filled with sleeping commanding officers at the 101st Airborne Division’s 1st Brigade operations center in Kuwait.

Akbar is the lone suspect being detained in the despicable attack, which left more than a dozen wounded and one dead. Surviving soldiers say Akbar, found cowering in a bunker with shrapnel injuries, was overheard ranting after the assault: “You guys are coming into our countries, and you’re going to rape our women and kill our children.”

“Our”? At least there’s no doubt about where this Religion of Peace practitioner’s true loyalties lie.

Naturally, apologists for Islam-gone-awry are hard at work dismissing this traitorous act of murder as an “isolated, individual act and not an expression of faith.” But such sentiments are willfully blind and recklessly p.c.

Sgt. Akbar is not the only MSWA — Muslim soldier with attitude — suspected of infiltrating our military, endangering our troops and undermining national security:

– Ali A. Mohamed. Mohamed, a major in the Egyptian army, immigrated to the U.S. in 1986 and joined the U.S. Army while a resident alien. This despite being on a State Department terrorist watch list before securing his visa. An avowed Islamist, he taught classes on Muslim culture to U.S. Special Forces at Fort Bragg, N.C., and obtained classified military documents. He was granted U.S. citizenship over the objections of the CIA.

A former classmate, Jason T. Fogg, recalled that Mohamed was openly critical of the American military. “To be in the U.S. military and have so much hate toward the U.S. was odd. He never referred to America as his country.”

Soon after he was honorably discharged from the Army in 1989, Mohamed hooked up with Osama bin Laden as an escort, trainer, bagman and messenger. Mohamed used his U.S. passport to conduct surveillance at the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi; he later pled guilty to conspiring with bin Laden to “attack any Western target in the Middle East” and admitted his role in the 1998 African embassy bombings that killed more than 200 people, including a dozen Americans.

Ain’t multiculturalism grand?

– Semi Osman. An ethnic Lebanese born in Sierra Leone and a Seattle-based Muslim cleric, Osman served in a naval reserve fueling unit based in Tacoma, Wash. He had access to fuel trucks similar to the type used by al Qaeda in the 1996 bombing of the Khobar Towers, which killed 19 U.S. airmen and wounded nearly 400 other Americans.

Osman was arrested last May as part of a federal investigation into the establishment of a terrorist training camp in Bly, Oregon. Osman recently pleaded guilty to a weapons violation, and the feds dropped immigration charges against him in exchange for his testimony.

Ain’t open borders grand?

– John Muhammad. The accused Beltway sniper and Muslim convert was a member of the Army’s 84th Engineering Company. In an eerie parallel to the Akbar case, Muhammad is suspected of throwing a thermite grenade into a tent housing 16 of his fellow soldiers as they slept before the ground-attack phase of Gulf War I in 1991. Muhammad’s superior, Sgt. Kip Berentson, told both Newsweek and The Seattle Times that he immediately suspected Muhammad, who was “trouble from day one.”

Curiously, Muhammad was admitted to the Army despite being earlier court-martialed for willfully disobeying orders, striking another noncommissioned officer, wrongfully taking property, and being absent without leave while serving in the Louisiana National Guard.

Although Muhammad was led away in handcuffs and transferred to another company pending charges for the grenade attack, an indictment never materialized. Muhammad was honorably discharged from the Army in 1994. Eight years later, he was arrested in the 21-day Beltway shooting spree that left 10 dead and three wounded.

Ain’t tolerance grand?

– Jeffrey Leon Battle. A former Army reservist, Battle was indicted in October 2002 for conspiring to levy war against the United States and “enlisting in the Reserves to receive military training to use against America.” According to the Justice Department, he planned to wage war against American soldiers in Afghanistan.

Ain’t diversity grand?

“It’s bad enough we have to worry about enemy forces, but now we have to worry about our own guys,” Spc. Autumn Simmer told the Los Angeles Times this week after the assault on the 101st Airborne. The Islamist infiltration of our troops is scandalous. Not one more American, soldier or civilian, must be sacrificed at the altar of multiculturalism, diversity, open borders, and tolerance of the murderous “attitude” of Jihad.

FYI: Convicted Beltway sniper John Muhammad is scheduled to be executed next week. No doubt the families of the Muslim sniper victims are re-living the horror tonight.

FYI: Muslim US soldier Hasan Abujihaad was convicted last year on espionage and material terrorism support charges
after serving aboard the USS Benfold and sharing classified info with al Qaeda financiers, including movements of US ships just six months after al Qaeda operatives had killed 17 Americans aboard the USS Cole in the port of Yemen.

Clarice Feldman notes President Obama’s “odd” — to say the least — reaction to the attack on Fort Hood soldiers:

On Thursday, 11 soldiers and civilian police at Fort Hood were slaughtered execution-style at close range and over 30 others wounded, allegedly by a U.S. Army Major Malik Nadal Hasan. The President immediately addressed the nation concerning this horrific event.

However, his expression of grief was very odd. He spent the first two minutes of the four-and-a-half minute address in a light-hearted discussion of his earlier “Tribal Nations Conference” on Native American rights, including a “shout out” recognition of a conference attendee.

When he finally got around to the purpose for his public appearance, he gave an uninspired and rambling dissertation on the tragedy. Even then, he could not keep the topic focused on sympathy for the pain of others:

I want all of you to know that as Commander in Chief, that there’s no greater honor, but no greater responsibility for me (emphasis his) than to make sure that the extraordinary men and women in uniform are properly cared for…

Poor soul, it’s so saddening to know how this tragedy affects him. Listening to this address provides some insight into Obama’s character and how he ranks his priorities.

Business as usual: The whitewashing of jihad by the MSM.

I’ve said it many times over the years and it bears repeating again as cable TV talking heads ask in bewilderment how all the red flags Hasan raised could have been ignored: Political correctness is the handmaiden of terror.

U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul, a Republican from Austin, was briefed by military officials and said Hasan had taken some unusual classes for someone studying about mental health.

“He took a lot of extra classes in weapons training, which seems a little odd for a psychiatrist,” McCaul said.

McCaul said Hasan had received poor grades for his work at Walter Reed and was not happy about his situation in Fort Hood, where Hasan apparently felt like “he didn’t fit in.”

“He’s disgruntled because he had a poor performance evaluation, he doesn’t believe in the mission, he’s looking at getting transferred to Afghanistan or Iraq,” McCaul said. “He’s not happy about all that.”

McCaul added that officials planned to interview Hasan to try to determine for sure that he was not working with foreign agents.

“From an intelligence standpoint, that’s key, finding out if he talked to anyone overseas,” McCaul said.

Bruce Bawer has a brilliant essay on the MSM whitewashing of jihad:

CNN (ditto the New York Times website) was considerably less useful than the tidbits I picked up online by following links on various blogs and in Facebook postings. They led me to (among other things) an AP story, a Daily Mail article, and a Fox News interview that provided telling details: Hasan had apparently been a devout Muslim; Arabic words, reportedly a Muslim prayer, had been posted on his apartment door in Maryland; in conversations with colleagues he had repeatedly expressed sympathy for suicide bombers; on Thursday morning, hours before the massacre, he had supposedly handed out copies of the Koran to neighbors. A couple of these facts eventually surfaced on CNN, but only briefly; they were rushed past, left untouched, unexamined; the network seemed to be making a masterly effort to avoid giving this data a cold, hard look. Meanwhile it spent time doing heavy-handed spin — devoting several minutes, for example, to an inane interview with a forensic psychiatrist who talked about the stress of treating soldiers bearing the emotional scars of war. The obvious purpose was to turn our eyes away from Islamism and toward psychiatric instability as a motive.

…after [the Anderson Cooper show] was over, we got a “special edition” of Larry King Live hosted by Wolf Blitzer. This one really took the cake. By way of “illuminating” Hasan’s actions, Blitzer interviewed a panel of — no, not experts on Islamic jihad, but psychiatrists. Blitzer endlessly repeated the mantra that Hasan had been “taunted” for being Muslim, had feared going to a war zone, and had ultimately gone “berserk,” and the docs echoed this line. “He did not reach for help when he should have,” lamented one panelist. Another opined: “It sounded like it got to be too much for him.” Yet another told us: “All kind of people need help who aren’t getting help. … He was feeling picked on by his colleagues. … He was strained. He was scared.”

Could there be a more bitter contrast? At Fort Hood, so many courageous GIs, all of them prepared to risk their lives fighting the Islamic jihadist enemy in defense of our freedom, several of them now dead. And, on our TV screens, so many apparently craven journalists, public officials, psychiatrists, and (alas) even military brass — all but a few of whom seemed unwilling to do anything more than hint obliquely at the truth that obviously lies at the root of this monstrous act.

And now: Reports that Hasan shouted “Allahu Akbar!” during the attack.

Barack Obama, During his Cairo speech, said: "I know, too, that Islam has always been a part Of America's story."

Dear Mr. Obama:

Were those Muslims that were in America when the Pilgrims First landed?   No, they were American Indians.

Were those Muslims that celebrated the first Thanksgiving Day?   Sorry again, those were Pilgrims and American Indians.

Can you Show me one Muslim signature on the United States Constitution?   Declaration Of Independence ?   Bill of Rights?   Didn't Think so.

Did Muslims fight for this country's freedom from England?   No.

Did Muslims fight during the Civil War to free the Slaves in America ? No, they did Not. In fact, Muslims to this day are Still the largest traffickers in human Slavery.. Your own half brother, a devout Muslim, still advocates slavery himself, even Though Muslims of Arabic descent refer to black Muslims as "pug nosed slaves." Says a lot Of what the Muslim world really thinks of your family's "rich Islamic heritage," doesn't it Mr. Obama?

Where were Muslims during the Civil Rights era of this Country?   Not present.

There are No pictures or media accounts of Muslims walking Side by side with Martin Luther King, Jr. Or Helping to advance the cause of Civil Rights.

Where were Muslims during this country's Woman's Suffrage Era?   Again, not present. In fact, Devout Muslims demand that women are subservient To men in the Islamic culture. So much so, That often women are beaten for not wearing the 'hajib' or for talking to a man who is not a Direct family member or their husband. Yep, the Muslims are all for women's rights, Aren't they?

Where were Muslims during World War II?   They were Aligned with Adolf Hitler.  The Muslim Grand mufti himself met with Adolf Hitler, Reviewed the troops and accepted support from The Nazi's in killing Jews.

Finally, Mr. Obama, where were Muslims on Sept. 11th, 2001?   If they weren't flying planes into The World Trade Center , the Pentagon or a field In Pennsylvania killing nearly 3,000 people on Our own soil, they were rejoicing in the Middle East.   No one can dispute the pictures Shown from all parts of the Muslim world Celebrating on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and other Cable news networks that day.   Strangely, The very "moderate" Muslims who's asses you bent Over backwards to kiss in Cairo, Egypt on June 4th were stone cold silent post 9-11.   To Many Americans, their silence has meant approval For the acts of that day.

Oh, I'm sorry, I Forgot to mention the Barbary Pirates.  They were Muslim.

AND THAT, Mr. Obama, is the "rich heritage" Muslims have here In America.

And now we can Add November 5, 2009 - the slaughter of American Soldiers at Fort Hood by a Muslim major who is a Doctor and a psychiatrist who was supposed to be Counseling soldiers returning from battle in Iraq and Afghanistan ..

Muslim Heritage, my ass.

Criticism of Islam may soon be a crime in America

Posted on December 11, 2011     by creeping

Speak now or forever be a slave to Islam. via Criticism of Islam Could Soon be a Crime in America » Publications » Family Security Matters.
When President Obama delivered his much-anticipated speech to the Muslim world at Cairo University in June 2009, the free world trembled while the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) gushed with praise and begged for a meeting with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The OIC is the largest head of state organization in the world after the United Nations (UN) itself and comprises 56 Muslim countries plus the Palestinians. It claims to be the “collective voice of the Muslim world,” i.e., the ummah, and speaks on its behalf in effect as the seat of the next Islamic Caliphate. In 1990, the OIC membership adopted the “Cairo Declaration ,” which officially exempted all Muslim countries from compliance with the UN Universal Declaration on Human Rights and replaced it with Islamic law (shariah).
One of the fundamental laws of Islam deals with “slander ,” which is defined in shariah as saying “anything concerning a person [a Muslim] that he would dislike.” At the OIC’s Third Extraordinary Session, held in Mecca, Saudi Arabia in December 2005, the organization adopted a “Ten-Year Programme of Action to Meet the Challenges Facing the Muslim Ummah in the 21st Century.” A key agenda item of that meeting was “the need to counter Islamophobia” by seeking to have the UN “…adopt an international resolution to counter Islamophobia, and call upon all States to enact laws to counter it, including deterrent punishments.” The word “Islamophobia” is a completely invented word, coined by the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT), a Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwan) front group. OIC adoption of the term reflects the close operational relationship between the OIC and the Ikhwan.
Six years later, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is due to host OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu in Washington, DC in mid-December 2011 to discuss how the United States can implement the OIC agenda to criminalize criticism of Islam. Cloaked in the sanctimonious language of “Resolution 16/18,” that was adopted by the UN Human Rights Council in April 2011, the WDC three-day experts meeting is billed as a working session to discuss legal mechanisms to combat religious discrimination (but the only religion the Human Rights Council has ever mentioned in any previous resolution is Islam). The UN Human Rights Council, which includes such bastions of human rights as China, Cuba, Libya, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, introduced Resolution 16/18 to the UN General Assembly (UNGA), where it was passed in March 2011.
The Resolution was presented to the UNGA by Pakistan (where women get the death penalty for being raped and “blasphemy” against Islam is punished by death). Ostensibly about “combating intolerance, negative stereotyping and…incitement to violence against persons based on religion or belief,” the only partnership mentioned in the text is the one with the OIC. The U.S., whose official envoy to the OIC, Rashad Hussain, helped write Obama’s Cairo speech, actively collaborated in the drafting of Resolution 16/18.
Now, the OIC’s Ihsanoglu will come to Washington, DC, the capital of one of the only countries in the world with a Constitution that guarantees freedom of speech and a judicial system that consistently defends it, with a publicized agenda to criminalize criticism of Islam. His agenda, and, apparently that of his host, the U.S. Department of State, seek to bring the U.S. into full compliance with Islamic law on slander, as noted above.

Exposed! Muslim Brotherhood's U.S. front groups

Investigation documents 'terrorists with neckties' in nation's capital

Posted: October 19, 2011     WND

It's one of the most controversial and electrifying books of our time – recently praised publicly by a top U.S. general as the book to read on the radical Islamic threat within America – and today only, WND readers can get "Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America" for only $4.95 – a $21 discount off the regular price!

Based on an audacious six-month undercover operation in which three young investigators pretended to convert to Islam and became interns at the notorious Council on American-Islamic Relations, "Muslim Mafia" exposes the vast but little-reported subversion of America by the dangerous Muslim Brotherhood – parent organization of al-Qaida, Hamas and other front-line terror groups.

The book’s frightening allegations are well supported by more than 12,000 pages of confidential, internal CAIR documents secretly extracted during the unprecedented undercover investigation.

Recently, retired Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin, former U.S. deputy undersecretary of defense for intelligence, made an impassioned plea for Americans to learn about the inner workings of stealth jihadists by reading "Muslim Mafia."

"There's a recent book that came out called 'Muslim Mafia,'" said Boykin at a major Christian conference. "Have any of you read this? Have any of you ever seen it? I encourage you to get this book – 'Muslim Mafia.' … This book will scare you. This book will open your eyes. This book will shake you. What this book says is frightening."

Watch Gen. Boykin describe "Muslim Mafia" below:

In "Muslim Mafia," follow co-author Dave Gaubatz’s son Chris as he courageously gains the trust of CAIR’s inner sanctum, working undercover as a converted and devoted follower of the Muslim religion.

The trail of information reveals the insidious and well-funded efforts of the seditious Muslim Brotherhood under the nonprofit guise of CAIR to fully support the international jihad against the United States, with the goal of transforming American society from within. They hope to accomplish this through terrorist activities, fraud, and infiltration of our political and intelligence systems, which these documents clearly reveal.

Save $21, get 'Muslim Mafia' for only $4.95!

That's right. Your eyes are not deceiving you. Right now, you can save $21 off the cover price of P. David Gaubatz and Paul Sperry's blockbuster "Muslim Mafia."

Until 10 p.m. Pacific today, you can get your copy for only $4.95 by taking advantage of this special offer, exclusively from WorldNetDaily.

But wait – it gets better. There's another part to this deal. When you order "Muslim Mafia" for $4.95, we will also send you, FREE, three sizzling issues of WND's critically acclaimed monthly magazine, Whistleblower.

Many readers consider Whistleblower to be simply the world's best newsmagazine. Each issue focuses like a powerful laser on a single topic – from how to survive financial meltdown to understanding the secret agendas of America's establishment elite – explored thoroughly, and with facts and insight such as you've never seen anywhere else. Recent issues include "SHADOW GOVERNMENT: Inside the mad, mad, mad, mad world of Obama's czars," "MEDICAL MURDER: Why Obamacare could result in the early deaths of millions of baby boomers," "THE GREAT AWAKENING: How tea partiers are setting a new course for America," "NARCISSIST IN CHIEF: Experts explain what makes Barack Obama tick" and "BLACK HOLE: The shocking truth about the U.S. economy – and what you can and must do."

So, for $4.95 you get a copy of "Muslim Mafia" by P. David Gaubatz and Paul Sperry, plus you get three sample issues of Whistleblower – in hopes, of course, that you will do what most people do, which is to become a long-term Whistleblower subscriber.

(Note: This offer does not apply to current Whistleblower subscribers or those living outside the U.S. However, if you are already a Whistleblower subscriber, or if you want to subscribe now, we have an outstanding offer for you to check out!)

(There's no risk, because at any time you can cancel your subscription for a full refund on the unused portion.) If you don't want to renew, simply cancel by calling 1-800-4WNDCOM (800-496-3266) or by emailing before the charge date printed on the renewal card you'll receive. Either way, the book and the 3 free issues are yours to keep. (Only one copy of "Muslim Mafia" at this price per household. Offer good only in the U.S.)

"I urge readers to take advantage of this special deal now, because we can only offer it for a short time," Farah added.

New method to fight jihad, defend 1st Amendment

With threat to seize book, publisher makes it available electronically

Posted: September 13, 2011     WND

WASHINGTON – With a federal judge approving for trial a lawsuit by the Council on American-Islamic Relations aimed at discrediting – or even seizing – a book exposing the group's connections to the Muslim Brotherhood and terrorism, the publisher of "Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America." is taking an action designed to ensure the First Amendment is not compromised.

He's making the title available at low cost electronically and, in the unlikely event Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly grants CAIR's veiled motion to seize all hard copies in the marketplace, encourages buyers to disregard copyright infringement notices on the e-book and spread it virally worldwide.

"This is a historic publishing decision," said Joseph Farah, founder of WND Books. "I don't think any publisher has ever authorized purchasers – even conditionally – to ignore copyright notices on an e-book to ensure the free flow of information in the public interest is not blocked by an arbitrary and unconstitutional judicial decision. I don't expect Judge Kollar-Kotelly to take such an ill-advised action, but I'm not taking any chances."

CAIR's lawsuit names "Muslim Mafia" co-author P. David Gaubatz and his son Chris Gaubatz, who carried out a six-month undercover investigation to document the Islamic group's ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, the originator of terrorist groups such as al-Qaida and Hamas.

CAIR has alleged that Chris Gaubatz, who served as an intern for the Muslim group, stole 12,000 pages of internal documents that later formed the basis of the WND Books expose of CAIR. Gaubatz argues he posed as a Muslim in the six-month undercover effort to expose CAIR's threat to U.S. security. CAIR was named by the U.S. Justice Department as an unindicted co-conspirator in a major terrorist-financing scheme. In that case, FBI agents presented evidence that CAIR was established as a front for the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas.

Gaubatz says he acquired the documents when, as an intern, he accepted a request by CAIR staffers to shred old material in the basement of the organization's D.C. headquarters. Gaubatz was the only intern to volunteer for the job, and he set aside select documents which he later carried out in boxes in front of CAIR employees.

Judge Kollar-Kotelly has granted CAIR's request to file two amended complaints against the Gaubatzes. CAIR alleges it suffered damage after Chris Gaubatz obtained the documents under false pretenses and made recordings of officials and employees without consent.

In the lawsuit, however, CAIR, a self-described Muslim civil-rights group, does not defend itself against the book's claims, and the FBI has seized the CAIR material from the Washington law office of one of the Gaubtazes' attorneys. A previous filing in the case revealed a federal grand jury is investigating CAIR for possible violation of laws that ban financial dealings with terrorist groups or countries under U.S. sanctions.

One of the Gaubatz's lawyers, renowned First Amendment attorney Martin Garbus, said he thinks the father and son have a valid First Amendment argument and that CAIR didn't suffer any financial damage. Another Gaubatz lawyer, Daniel Horowitz, has argued that CAIR's claim is not valid because the documents support other evidence of their support of terrorism, and the only damage would be to their reputation.

CAIR can't sue anyone who claims it supports terrorism unless the claim is not true, Horowitz explained, noting that, normally, if a party believes a book is deliberately false, it will sue for defamation.

As WND reported, CAIR's complaint seeks to expunge all copies of "Muslim Mafia" in an attempt, Horowitz contends, to eliminate evidence that could lead to criminal prosecution.

 Hezbollah in Mexico

Business Insider bears the alarming news that the Iran-supported terrorist group Hezbollah is busy establishing a presence in Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America:

Islamic terrorist groups are setting up shop in Mexico and forming alarming ties with the country's brutal drug cartels, according to a 2010 internal memo from the Tucson Police Department.

The memo (pdf file) referred to here was not intended for public consumption, and came to light only after the hacker group LulzSec hacked into Arizona Department of Public Safety computers.

Well that's unnerving, especially given the fact that, according to the Violence Policy Center (VPC), the U.S. civilian gun market is a "virtually unregulated bazaar of military-style firearms," which is routinely heavily utilized by the Mexican drug cartels (Hezbollah's new buddies, remember). On top of that, American-born Al Qaeda spokesman Adam Gadahn says any aspiring jihadist in the U.S. can just pop into the nearest gun show, and buy "a fully automatic assault rifle, without a background check, and most likely without having to show an identification card" (my emphasis added).

Except that's not what's happening. From the memo:

In July of this year, Mexican authorities arrested Jameel Nasr in Tijuana, Baja California. Nasr was alleged to be tasked with establishing the Hezbollah network in Mexico and throughout South America. In April of last year, the arrest of Jamal Yousef – in New York City - exposed a weapons cache of 100 M- 16 assault rifles, 100 AR-15 rifles, 2,500 hand grenades, C4 explosives and antitank munitions. According to Yousef, the weapons, which were being stored in Mexico, had been stolen from Iraq with the help of his cousin who was a member of Hezbollah.

Stolen from Iraq, and then smuggled across an ocean to Mexico, when there's a "virtually unregulated bazaar of military-style firearms" to shop from right here?

Of course, not every wannabe jihadist has a cousin in Iraq to help him steal weapons there. No problem--there's plenty of firepower to be had all over Latin America--and that's without the Obama government "walking" guns to killers in Mexico and Honduras.

Advertisement So in the face of heavily armed terrorists who consider killing Americans to be a free ticket to paradise, gathering just across our very cursorily secured border with Mexico, what would the forcible citizen disarmament advocates have us do? Make it more difficult for us to obtain firearms to defend ourselves, and mandate that the firearms available to us be less capable.

Just whose side are they on?

Pakistan Pressed to Repeal Blasphemy Laws, End ‘Vigilante Violence’

( – A Pakistani think tank has called on the international community to press the government to repeal notorious blasphemy laws and take steps to protect the country’s vulnerable non-Muslim minorities amid a “rising tide of vigilante violence.”

But, implicitly acknowledging the near impossibility of that happening, the organization said the government should at least be pushed to take steps to prevent misuse of the law.

The Jinnah Institute’s appeal is a daring one in a society where those questioning the blasphemy law have themselves been called blasphemers, faced death threats and – in some cases – been murdered.

The institute, an independent public policy organization named for Pakistan’s founder Mohammed Ali Jinnah, is headed by Sherry Rehman, a senior lawmaker in President Asif Ali Zardari’s ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

Rehman spearheaded a bid in parliament to amend the blasphemy laws but early this year abandoned the initiative, saying she had failed to win support [2] from her own party.

She took the step soon after Punjab governor Salman Taseer, a moderate Muslim who supported amending the law and sought a reprieve for a Christian woman sentenced to death [3] for “blaspheming” Mohammed, was assassinated by a member of his bodyguard.

Weeks later another prominent critic of the laws, federal minister for minorities affairs Shahbaz Bhatti, was shot dead by gunmen who left pamphlets accusing him of blasphemy. Sherry, like Bhatti and Taseer, has received death threats for her stance.

In a 70-page report entitled “A Question of Faith,” the Jinnah Institute described the reality of an institutionalized “two-tiered” citizenship in Pakistan, defined by whether a person is a Muslim or not.

Case studies drawn up from interviews gave examples of mob violence against Christians and Ahmadis, the abduction and forced conversion of minority women, attacks on places of worship and discrimination in employment.

“These most recent attacks on religious minorities and the state’s tolerance towards this persecution are part of a longer-term pattern of state complicity at all levels – judicial, executive and legislative – in the persecution of and discrimination against minorities.”

The report also drew links between the attitudes towards minorities and the broader struggle against terrorism.

“Fighting extremism is not just about militarily defeating the Taliban, but about departing from the sectarian ideology and oppressive legal frameworks that embolden militants,” it said.

The institute called for a transition from “two-tiered” citizenship to what it said was Jinnah’s vision of a Pakistan, where all citizens were equal.

Sherry said this week that the report’s findings raised two critical questions.

“First, will Pakistan continue to discriminate against its citizens and turn a blind eye to the spread of cultures of cruelty and vigilantism? Second, will the majority of Pakistanis continue to condone and collude in the discrimination and persecution of minorities?”

Nowhere was that mind-set more evident in recent months than in the reaction to Taseer’s killing.

His assassin was feted at public rallies, and hundreds of lawyers offered him their free legal services. Some 500 Muslim scholars issued a joint statement naming the killer “Lover of the Prophet, Commander of the Jihad Fighters,” and warning all Muslim clerics not to voice sympathy about Taseer’s death.

In the weeks leading up to Bhatti’s death in March, Islamic parties at rallies and in pamphlets openly demonized the only Christian federal government minister and incited violence against him.

Rather than use the assassinations as a catalyst for change, the PPP government assured Muslim religious leaders that the laws would not be touched.

‘Tip of the iceberg’

Topping its 23 recommendations, the Jinnah Foundation report called for the repeal of the blasphemy laws.

But, “in the event that the government is unable to repeal the law, it must begin by taking all appropriate measures, including administrative, procedural and legislative, to prevent misuse of the law.”

These must include amendments that remove vague terminology and the addition of a clause to punish “frivolous litigation and false accusers of blasphemy.”

All trials involving the most serious alleged violations – those that carry penalties up to life imprisonment and – in cases of “blaspheming” Mohammed – the death penalty, should reach top-level high courts, with the accused “given their mandated right to a legal counsel.”

Other recommendations in the report include the prosecution of those harassing, threatening or attacking minorities; the removal of impunity for prayer leaders in mosques who incite hatred against non-Muslims; and the appointment of a “special ombudsman” to protect the rights of minorities and women.

Asif Aqeel, director of the Community Development Initiative – an affiliate of European Center for Law and Justice – said from Lahore Friday the call to repeal the law was “a very good thing,” but unrealistic.

“It cannot be materialized, at least in near future – as the report says,” he said.

A more viable approach would be to add a section to the law designed to prevent its misuse.

“Being a Christian, it is not my concern whether the blasphemy law is actually Islamic or un-Islamic. This debate is for the Muslim majority of Pakistan,” Aqeel said. “All I am concerned with is the safety of the minority communities. If a new section does that, then that’s fine.”

Aqeel pointed to several recent episodes as evidence of how all-pervasive the issue of blasphemy has become, including the banning of Facebook [5] and other Web sites and a recently-launched bid by a radical religious party to have the Supreme Court ban the Bible [6] under the laws.

He said the problems faced by non-Muslim Pakistanis went far beyond the laws.

“The blasphemy laws are the tip of the iceberg,” he said. “The larger picture is that minority communities face discrimination in jobs, equal opportunities and freedom of expression. They live in ghettos as they fear to live among the Muslim majority. This needs to be dealt with and confidence should be given to the religious minorities that they are also Pakistanis.”

The Obama administration is facing growing calls to designate Pakistan as a violator of religious freedom [7] under U.S. law, but has yet to respond.
