U.S. Muslims desecrate American flag
Video shows group on street corner declaring Islamic dominance
June 8, 2005 © 2005 WorldNetDaily.com
A group of American Muslims produced a video that shows its members on a New York City street corner declaring Islam's dominance over America as they tread on a U.S. flag and then rip it apart.
In the video, released by the New York-based
Islamic Thinkers Society,
one of the Muslims is shown placing a sign on the flag that says, "Oh
Muslims! Do you know your enemy? Isn't it obvious?"
Another speaker refers to the mandate for "Islam to dominate over
all other religions, to dominate the world, even though the
non-Muslims may hate it."
Al-Muhajiroun spiritual leader Sheik Omar Bakri Muhammad has called
on the British Muslim community to join Hamas.
The Queens branch youth leader, Abu Yousuf, a U.S. citizen who says
he attended a "camp" in Sudan and takes computer courses at the City
University of New York, speaks at university events throughout New
York City usually sponsored by the Muslim Student Association.
Three Indonesian girls beheaded
2005/10/29 By Tim Johnston BBC News, Jakarta
Three girls have been beheaded and another badly injured as they walked to a Christian school in Indonesia.
They were walking through a cocoa plantation near the city of Poso in central Sulawesi province when they were attacked.
This is an area that has a long history of religious violence between Muslims and Christians.
A government-brokered truce has only partially succeeded in reducing the number of incidents in recent years.
Police say the heads were found some distance from the bodies.
It is unclear what was behind the attack, but the girls attended a private Christian school and one of the heads was left outside a church leading to speculation that it might have had a religious motive.
Central Sulawesi and Poso in particular was the scene of bitter fighting between Muslims and Christians in 2001 and 2002.
More than 1,000 people were killed before a government-brokered truce.
Although the violence has been subdued, it has never gone away completely.
A bomb in May in the nearby town of Tentena, which is predominantly Christian, killed 22 people and injured over 30.
The fighting four years ago drew Islamic militants from all over Indonesia and many have never gone home.
Analysts say the militants have targeted central Sulawesi and believe that it could be turned into the foundation stone of an Islamic state.
The analysts have warned that the violence could resurface at any time.

More than 53
million Muslims in Europe
Survey shows Islam on the rise across continent

WETZLAR, Germany – More than 53 million Muslims live in Europe – 14 million of them in the European Union, according to newly released figures
The Central Institute's Islam Archives in Soest, Germany, says the number of Muslims in Europe has increased by 800,000 over the last two years, reports the German evangelical news agency IDEA. The institute’s director, Salim Abdullah, says that among the 25 EU states, France has the highest number of Muslims – 5.5 million – followed by Germany with 3.2 million, the United Kingdom with 1.5 million and Italy with 1 million
Taking into account the whole continent, Russia has 25 million Muslims and the European part of Turkey 5.9 million. The Muslim population in Germany is mostly made up of Turkish migrants. But the number of Muslims holding a German passport has risen to almost 1 million.
Muslim worship in Germany is on the rise. Approximately 200,000 take part in daily prayers and 493,000 in Friday prayers at mosques and prayer houses – an increase of more than 10 percent over last year’s figures.
Islam in Germany is a "young religion," according to the institute, which counts 850,000 Muslims as minors. One in five Muslim adolescents worships regularly.
The number of converts to Islam has reached a new high in Germany. According to the institute, more than 1,100 people changed their religion to Islam between 2004 and 2005. Approximately 60 percent of the converts were women. Most converted because they married a Muslim.
But the reverse also is true: More and more Muslims in Germany are becoming Christians. Most are Iranians in exile, who left their country after the Islamic revolution of 1979. Iranian converts estimate that each year approximately 60 Muslims are baptized in Germany.
The institute believes that more than 100,000 Iranian Shiites have converted to the Christian faith since the Islamic revolution. Most live in the United States.
Viele junge Moslems in Deutschland
(18.10.05/18:40)

• Islam was born in war and grew the same way. From the time of Mohammed, the means of Muslim expansion was always the sword.
• With enormous energy, the warriors of Islam struck out against the Christians shortly after Mohammed's death. Palestine, Syria, and Egypt -- once the most heavily Christian areas in the world -- quickly succumbed.
• By the eighth century, Muslim armies had conquered all of Christian North Africa and Spain. In the eleventh century, the Seljuk Turks conquered Asia Minor (modern Turkey), which had been Christian since the time of St. Paul.
• The Byzantine Empire was reduced to little more than Greece. In desperation, the emperor in Constantinople sent word to the Christians of western Europe asking them to aid their brothers and sisters in the East.
• The end of the medieval Crusades did not bring an end to Muslim jihad -- Islamic states like Mamluk Egypt continued to expand in size and power, and the Ottoman Turks built the largest and most awesome state in Muslim history.
• Under Suleiman the Magnificent the Turks came within a hair's breadth of capturing Vienna, which would have left all of Germany at their mercy. At that point Crusades were no longer waged to rescue Jerusalem, but Europe itself.
• It is often asserted that Crusaders were merely lacklands and ne'er-do-wells who took advantage of an opportunity to rob and pillage in a faraway land. Recent scholarship has demolished that contrivance. The truth is that the Crusades were notoriously bad for plunder. A few people got rich, but the vast majority returned with nothing.
• The Ottoman Turks conquered not only their fellow Muslims, thus further unifying Islam, but also continued to press westward, capturing Constantinople and plunging deep into Europe itself. By the 15th century, the Crusades were no longer errands of mercy for a distant people but desperate attempts of one of the last remnants of Christendom to survive. Europeans began to ponder the real possibility that Islam would finally achieve its aim of conquering the entire Christian world.
• In 1529, Suleiman the Magnificent laid siege to Vienna. If not for a run of freak rainstorms that delayed his progress and forced him to leave behind much of his artillery, it is virtually certain that the Turks would have taken the city.
• Whether we admire the Crusaders or not, it is a fact that the world we know today would not exist without their efforts. Without the Crusades, Christianity might well have followed Zoroastrianism, another of Islam's rivals, into extinction.

Flag desecrators issue threat - Urge Allah to 'give painful torment' to publicizers of video
Posted: June 11, 2005 1:00 a.m. Eastern
© 2005 WorldNetDaily.com
New York-based Muslims who desecrated the U.S. flag on a street corner issued a threat against Islam scholar Robert Spencer for publicizing their video of the event along with accusations of ties to foreign jihadists.
As WorldNetDaily reported, the video shows members of the Islamic Thinkers Society declaring Islam's dominance over America as they tread on a U.S. flag and then rip it apart in street demonstration.
The group, with alleged links to the British jihadist organization Al-Muhajiroun, said the demonstration was "in response to the desecration of the holy Quran by the Crusaders & Zionists at Guantanamo Bay," an allegation based on a retracted Newsweek story.
A posting on the Islamic Thinkers Society website says: May Allah s.w.t. help those who expose the Crusaders & Zionists and their dirty schemes. And may Allah s.w.t. continue to humiliate the enemies of Islam & Muslims. May Allah s.w.t. give painful torment to Robert Spencer and Grayson Levy who are waging an e-Crusade on us by publishing false information about us."
Grayson Levy facilitates websites for Middle East scholar Daniel Pipes and his Philadephia-based Middle East Forum.
The Islamic group's message continues:
DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT ROBERT SPENCER AND GRAYSON LEVY WRITES ABOUT US. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO ARE PRODUCING HATRED AMONGST INNOCENT AND GULLIBLE AMERICAN PUBLIC TO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE DESECRATION OF THE QUR'AN. SO WE SAY THIS AGAIN:
WE THE MUSLIMS OF Islamic Thinkers Society ARE AN INTELLECTUAL & POLITICAL NON-VIOLENT ORGANIZATION . AND WE DO NOT HAVE ANY CONNECTIONS WITH FOREIGN ORGANIZATIONS WHATSOEVER.
Spencer said in a posting on his weblog Jihad Watch that if the group has no connection to foreign organizations then it simply makes them "100 percent American jihadists."
"They have made their loyalties abundantly clear by trampling on the flag while talking about Islam conquering America," Spencer writes.
"They spoke eloquently, without a trace of irony, about how America, unlike Muslim countries, allows them freedom of speech, so that they can do things like show how much they consider America the enemy and want to destroy it without fear of legal repercussions," he continues. "Very well: now we know where they stand. I hope that law enforcement authorities are paying very, very close attention to this 'less than a handfull of Muslims' as they continue to engage in 'public da'wah' [spreading Islam]."
The five-minute video begins with a man speaking in clear English: "Just to show where our loyalty belongs to – you see this flag here? It's going to go on the floor [sic]. And to us, our loyalty does not belong to this flag, our loyalty belongs to Allah ... ."
Later, after noting he has a legal permit for the demonstration, the speaker shouts, "You Muslims who are hiding in your houses, don't be afraid. Come and join us. Join us in the revival of all Islam. Join us to revive the Muslims from darkness into light."
Another speaker refers to the mandate for "Islam to dominate over all other religions, to dominate the world, even though the non-Muslims may hate it."
Earlier this month, a contributor to the website RevivingIslam.com posted a threat to Spencer that read, "May Allah rip out his spine from his back and split his brains in two, and then put them both back, and then do it over and over again."
Hamas Says Gaza Withdrawal
Won't Stop Conflict
By Julie Stahl CNSNews.com Jerusalem Bureau Chief July 14, 2005
Gaza City (CNSNews.com) - The scheduled withdrawal of Israeli communities from the Gaza Strip is a defeat for Israel, and the armed conflict that led to that "defeat" will continue until Israel leaves all of the West Bank and Israel, a senior Hamas leader said in an interview with Cybercast News Service.
Hamas, on the State Department's list of terrorist organizations, is taking credit for Israel's decision to uproot Jewish communities and Israeli military bases from the Gaza Strip and the northern West Bank. The disengagement, initiated by Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, is scheduled to begin in mid-August.
Mahmoud al Zahar, 60, is the most senior Hamas member in Gaza, although he refuses to admit it. Since Israel assassinated the group's spiritual leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin in March 2004 and his successor Abdel Aziz Rantissi a month later, the Hamas leadership has gone underground.
Educated in Cairo, Zahar is a surgeon who once taught at an Islamic university, he said. Far from being grateful for the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, Zahar said the process needs to continue -- until Jews also leave the entire West Bank and all of Israel.
"They are going to leave [Gaza], not because this is a gift from Israel. This is because they failed to confront our people, so don't describe their withdrawal from here...as a gift for the Palestinians," Zahar said in an interview at his home in Gaza. "This is because they are defeated here."
Two years ago, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon described the Gaza Strip settlement of Netzarim as a vital part of Israel's national security and now he is going to leave, said Zahar. That is because of the "effective armed struggle," he said.
"Just wait and see the dirty game when they are going to [take] the settlers from this land," Zahar said.
"The press [will show] how they are weeping and they are crying because they are going to extract them from their homeland. This is a fabricated story," he said, adding that the Jewish settlers "came here, stole our land, killed our people."
Jewish people believe that God promised them the land of Israel, including the Gaza Strip, as an eternal inheritance.
But Hamas will never recognize the existence of a Jewish State in the region, said Zahar.
According to his theology, the land here belongs to Islam, and the creation of the State of Israel 1948 was a colonial move by the West.
Hamas wants to overthrow the Jewish State and establish a pan-Islamic nation in its place - one extending from Lebanon to Egypt and from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea -- all of the Gaza Strip, West Bank and Israel, he said.
Hurt Israel, help Palestinians
Gaza City, a Hamas stronghold, sprawls for miles, encompassing refugee camps and neighborhoods in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. Divided boulevards branch off into dusty, unpaved side streets. Children play and walk unattended in the streets.
Cars old and new share the roads with donkey and horse carts -- many driven by youngsters -- transporting everything from vegetables to junk. The city has only a handful of traffic lights.
Hamas is everywhere in the city. The organization's green flags flutter from the tops of light posts. Billboards display pictures of "martyrs" -- those who have been killed while committing terror attacks or in confrontations with Israel.
Hamas -- the Arabic acronym for The Islamic Resistance Movement -- got its start as an Islamic charitable organization offering widespread social and educational services to impoverished Palestinians while promoting Islam. It later turned to terrorism.
Since the early 1990s, Hamas has carried out some of the grizzliest terror attacks in Israel, including suicide bombings on buses and in other public places.
But Palestinians see a different side of Hamas. This week, buses flying Hamas flags ferried children to summer camps.
Outside a falafel shop, a poster with smiling male faces on it announces a combined wedding in September for 60 couples who cannot afford to have their own -- sponsored by Hamas. (The betrothed don't necessarily have to be Hamas members.)
While Hamas has widespread popular support in Gaza, the Palestinian Authority is still struggling to assert its authority. In recent municipal elections, Hamas won sweeping victories over the Fatah (PLO) Party of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.
If Hamas' popularity translates into victories in upcoming parliamentary elections, it is expected to have a negative impact on future Israeli-Palestinian relations.
One Fatah member says Israel can blame itself for Hamas' ascendancy.
Abdallah Frangi, a member of Fatah's central committee and the PLO's ambassador to Germany, criticized Israel for not coordinating its withdrawal from Gaza with the P.A. and for destroying the P.A.'s infrastructure during the last four years of conflict.
That has allowed Hamas to gain strength, Frangi said during an interview at his home in Gaza.
Hamas is planning to make a "big show" when Israel leaves the Gaza Strip, just as Hizballah did when Israel left Lebanon in 2000, said Frangi. (Hizballah continued to attack Israel, even as Israel withdrew its troops, so Hizballah could claim that they had chased Israel out of Lebanon.)
Frangi said he does not expect Hamas to use violence against Israel. However, Hamas has continued to fire rockets and mortar shells at Israeli communities almost daily, both inside and outside the Gaza Strip.
"We [are trying] to build a government from all the Palestinian movements," Frangi said. "They [Hamas] are not willing to do it...They want to give the people here the feeling that they are those people that are responsible for [forcing] the Israelis [to leave] the Gaza Strip."
Somali Islamist militiamen raid wedding, beat woman
July 8, 2006 2006 WorldNetDaily.com
20 gunmen enforcing Sharia law confiscate instruments from band playing 'satanic' music
Days after a leading Somali cleric declared the death penalty for Muslims who failed to pray five times a day, militiamen loyal to the Islamic court cracked down on band music by raiding a wedding party in Mogadishu, confiscating instruments and beating a woman.
Twenty heavily armed men fired shots in the air and took musical instruments from the band performing in a home in Somalia's capital city yesterday. According to the Brisbane Courier-Mail, the band entertaining guests at the wedding party was told by the gunmen it was performing "satanic" music contrary to the Quran.
Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, head of the Conservative Council of Islamic Courts
Mogadishu was taken over in June by militia – now called the Conservative Council of Islamic Courts – that routed a U.S.-backed alliance of warlords after four months of fighting. The U.S. wanted to stem what officials call "creeping Talibanization" of Somalia by the courts and harboring of terrorists, including al-Qaida members.
"We were ordered to stop the music and empty the house which we all complied with immediately," said Hayir Ali Roble, one of the musicians performing at the party. "We followed their orders and kept our musical instruments in a room but they forcefully entered the house and took the instruments, and in the process broke some of them."
Roble said he did not know why the militiamen struck one of the women at the party with sticks.
The Islamic court denied that a woman was beaten.
Khadijo Weheliye, who organized the wedding party for her son, said she had sought and received permission from the Islamic court to have music at the celebration.
"We didn't know what their aim was because we had asked the Islamic court for permission to hold the party," she said. "They gave us a permission letter this morning, but attacked our home in the afternoon."
The raid was confirmed by the Islamic courts.
"We have told them to stop evil acts that derail the practice of Sharia law and it is our duty to enforce the ban on band music," said Ali Salad, the head of Ridwan Islamic courts in Weheliye's neighborhood. "We confiscated musical instruments that are satanic simply because we have previously told party organizers not to bring bands with music at the party."
On Tuesday, militiamen fired on a crowd protesting a ban on watching television, killing two who were viewing the World Cup at a local movie theater.
Earlier this week, WorldNetDaily reported that Muslims who fail to pray five times daily will be sentenced to death under the rule of Islamic clerics who have taken over the Somali capital Mogadishu.
"He who does not perform prayers will be considered as infidel, and Sharia law orders that that person be killed," said Sheikh Abdalla Ali, a founder and high-ranking official in the Supreme Islamic Council of Somalia.
Today, 11 teens were publicly given 40 lashes each after confessing to "un-Islamic behavior," including smoking marijuana, pretending to be Islamic militia in order to extort the public, violence and looting.
"This is the start of a new era and we will continue to carry out the Sharia ... . We do not have any reverse gear," said Sheikh Mohamoud Jiliale, an official serving on the tribunal. "It is our responsibility to make sure Sharia laws are respected."

American mosque's duplicity exposed - Violent Arabic messages contrast
'tolerant' English teaching
April 19, 2005 2005 WorldNetDaily.com
An Arabic-speaking intelligence analyst who visited an American mosque exposed the duplicity of Muslim leaders who advocate violent jihad against "infidels" while speaking their native tongue, but preach compassion and tolerance, in English, to a Western audience.
Laura Mansfield, an analyst for the Northeast Intelligence Network, writes in a column for WorldNetDaily today that she found a flyer on her car windshield inviting her to a special informational presentation on God and family values, and how to bring them back to the forefront in America.
Checking the mosque schedule on the Web, she discovered there was going to be an Arabic-language session an hour before.
She sat inconspicuously at the back of the room and, unbeknownst to the speakers, took in a discussion that sharply contrasted with the message of "brotherhood" with other religions conveyed in the open, English-speaking session that followed.
"The same imam who demanded" that Muslims "continue in the path of jihad," said Mansfield, "did a complete 180-degree turn in [the second] session, stressing instead the suras that promoted the 'brotherhood' between Muslims, Christians and Jews."
"The differences between the sessions were striking," she added. "Clearly the second session was a recruiting session."

Jihad comes to Small Town, USA
April 19, 2005 By Laura Mansfield © 2005 WorldNetDaily.com
It happened again this week. I came out of the office to find a flyer under my windshield wipers inviting me to a special informational presentation on God and family values, and how to bring them back to the forefront in America.
I'm a parent so the flyer caught my interest. But as an analyst for the Northeast Intelligence Network, my eyes were riveted to the address on the flyer: The session was being held at a nearby mosque.
Curiosity got the better of me, and I decided it would be a good time for some onsite investigations of the mosque. In order to not attract undue attention, I dressed conservatively, wearing a navy jumper with a long sleeve white blouse, and low heels. I debated whether or not to put on a hijab (head scarf) then decided not to – after all, I was going to "learn," not to pretend I was a Muslim.
I checked the mosque schedule on the Web, and discovered there was going to be an Arabic language session an hour before. So I showed up an hour early. The imam met me at the door, and told me that the presentation didn't start for an hour, and suggested I come back in an hour. Fortunately, I had anticipated this. I explained that since I had quite a bit of reading to do for a class I was taking. "Can I just sit here and read?"
He hesitated a moment, then agreed. I sat in the back of the room, with my book open, and made a mental note to remember to turn the pages every so often, as I listened to the speakers in Arabic.
The first speaker was the head of the Muslim Students' Association at the nearby university. Although I missed the beginning of the discussion, I caught up quickly. He was talking about the problems he had encountered on a recent trip, when TSA flagged him for extra screening. He joked about the fact that they had stopped him for extensive screening. He had anticipated that he would be screened and he had filled his carryon luggage with printouts of the Quran from the Internet, and had 15 or 16 CDs labeled in Arabic, and he had a notebook computer with him.
As he expected, he was delayed – he thought it was very amusing that while several TSA personnel were scrutinizing his personal belongings that his classmate from Jordan was able to walk through security, along with his American girlfriend, without any problems whatsoever.
One of the men said, in Arabic: "Blonde Americans are good for something!" Another man advised him to be cautious, since there was an American woman in the room. The imam spoke up and told everyone I didn't speak Arabic.
At that point, another student took the podium. His name was Khaled, and he began to recount his recent trip to New York City. Khaled and three of his companions had gone to New York for several days in January. He told of how uncomfortable his trip up to NYC had been. He felt like he was being watched, and thought he was the victim of racial profiling.
Khaled and his friends were pretty unhappy about it, and while in New York, they came up with a plan to "teach a lesson" to the passengers and crew. You can imagine the story Khaled told. He described how he and his friends whispered to each other on the flight, made simultaneous visits to the restroom, and generally tried to "spook" the other passengers. He laughed when he described how several women were in tears, and one man sitting near him was praying.
The others in the room thought the story was quite amusing, judging from the laughter. The imam stood up and told the group that this was a kind of peaceful civil disobedience that should be encouraged, and commended Khaled and his friends for their efforts.
He pointed out that it was through this kind of civil disobedience that ethnic profiling would fail.
One of the other men, Ahmed from Kuwait, gave a brief account of his friend Eyad, who had finally gone to Iraq. Ahmed was in e-mail contact with Eyad, and hoped by the following week to be able to bring them more information about the state of the "mujahideen" in Iraq.
As the meeting drew to a close, the imam gave a brief speech calling for the protection of Allah on the mujahideen fighting for Islam throughout the world, and reminded everyone that it was their duty as Muslims to continue in the path of jihad, whether it was simple efforts like those of Khaled and his friends, or the actual physical fighting of men like Eyad.
As the meeting broke up, several women in hijabs came in the room, and two of them sat with me. They were very warm and friendly and welcoming, and appeared to be clearly thrilled that I was there. They asked me questions about who I was, and why I was interested in the session.
By the time the session began, there were half a dozen American women, four of them African-American. Where the previous session had definite anti-American tones, this session was all American and Apple Pie. The earlier session had been in Arabic – this one was in English.
The woman leading the session, Nafisa, told of the concerns she had regarding her daughters in the public-school system. She complained about the influence of the MTV culture, and seemed concerned about the rampant sexuality that pervaded all facets of American life, from television to movies and on into the school system.
She explained her personal solution – the local Islamic school, beginning with kindergarten. Instead of worrying about her daughters dressing provocatively and behaving inappropriately with boys, she talked about the modest school uniforms they wore, and the single-gender classes her daughters attended.
She then began to discuss Islam, focusing on the commonalities it has with Christianity. The sales pitch had clearly begun. While in the previous section, the men had quoted over and over again sura from the Quran calling for violent jihad, the women's session focused on the "gentler" side of Islam.
The same imam who demanded that the men continue in the path of jihad did a complete 180-degree turn in this session, stressing instead the suras that promoted the "brotherhood" between Muslims, Christians and Jews. "After all, we worship the same God, and follow the teachings in the books he gave each of us. We are all the same, we are all People of the Book," he stressed.
The differences between the sessions were striking. Clearly the second session was a recruiting session.
Were the women aware of what was being taught in the first session? Certainly those women who spoke Arabic should have been.
The reason for concern is obvious: Two different doctrines are being promoted. One peaceful, friendly, warm and fuzzy doctrine is being used to draw people in, with a focus on the well-being of their children.
But the Arabic-speaking sessions clearly have an anti-American tone.
It shows clearly that as much as we'd like to pretend it hasn't, jihad has reached Small-Town, USA. This mosque isn't in Washington, D.C., or New York City. This is a small mosque in a small town in the deep South.
And if it's in this tiny little quiet southern town, it's probably in your hometown, too.

Official PA sermon: Muslims will rule America
May 18, 2005 2005 WorldNetDaily.com
Government-paid sheik says Jews a virus to be destroyed
An Islamic preacher on the payroll of the Palestinian Authority gave a fiery sermon broadcast on PA television in which he vowed Muslims would rule America and called Jews an AIDS-like virus that will soon be finished off.
"Allah has tormented us with 'the people most hostile to the believers' – the Jews," said Sheik Ibrahim Mudeiris in his Friday sermon, which is viewable on the Middle East Media Research Institute website.
Mudeiris said that with the establishment of the state of Israel, "the entire Islamic nation was lost, because Israel is a cancer spreading through the body of the Islamic nation, and because the Jews are a virus resembling AIDS, from which the entire world suffers.
"You will find that the Jews were behind all the civil strife in this world. The Jews are behind the suffering of the nations."
Mudeiris then recounted how nations have tortured and driven out Jews over the centuries, insisting it was deserved in each case due to provocation. He referred to Britain in the sixth century, France at the time of Louis XIX, Portugal, Czarist Russia and finally Nazi Germany.
"It was the Jews who provoked Nazism to wage war against the entire world, when the Jews, using the Zionist movement, got other countries to wage an economic war on Germany and to boycott German merchandise," he said. "They provoked Russia, Britain, France and Italy. This enraged the Germans toward the Jews, leading to the events of those days, which the Jews commemorate today."
The sheik said Jews are committing "worse deeds than those done to them in the Nazi war."
They have inflated their suffering, he said, "in order to win over the media and gain the world's sympathy."
Mudeiris said Allah has made all of the great superpowers in the past disappear, and "he who made them disappear will make America disappear too, God willing. He who made Russia disappear overnight is capable of making America disappear and fall, Allah willing."
"We have ruled the world before, and by Allah, the day will come when we will rule the entire world again," he said. "The day will come when we will rule America. The day will come when we will rule Britain and the entire world – except for the Jews."
The sheik said: "The Jews will not enjoy a life of tranquility under our rule, because they are treacherous by nature, as they have been throughout history. The day will come when everything will be relieved of the Jews – even the stones and trees which were harmed by them. Listen to the Prophet Muhammad, who tells you about the evil end that awaits Jews. The stones and trees will want the Muslims to finish off every Jew."

Iraq's Qaeda warns Sunnis against constitution
May 17, 2005
Iraq's al Qaeda blasted calls by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice for Sunni Muslims in Iraq to participate in drafting a new constitution, saying those who did would be infidels, according to an Internet statement.
"The crusaders' hag (Rice) came to sully the land of the caliphate...and wants the participation of apostates and secularists claiming to be Sunnis," the group led by Jordanian Abu Musab al-Zarqawi said in the statement posted on Tuesday on a Web site used by Islamists on Tuesday.
"Would anyone draft the constitution other than those who do not believe in God's book...," said the statement dated May 16.
"Our Sunni faith stipulates that the sword and bullets be the only dialogue between us and worshippers of the cross."
Rice met Iraqi leaders on Sunday to discuss the battle against an escalating insurgency and said minority Sunni Arabs should be included in political processes.
Prime Minister Ibrahim Jaafari, a Shi'ite, said he wanted the drafting of the constitution to involve Sunnis. Iraqi politicians are reaching out to Sunnis, who were dominant under Saddam Hussein, hoping to lessen support for the insurgency.
Zarqawi's group, one of the main networks fighting the government and U.S. forces, has threatened to kill fellow Sunnis who join the new government announced late last month.
"Those of sick hearts rush to please the Jews and Christians and sell their religion for earthly interests, desiring posts," Al Qaeda Organization for Holy War in Iraq said.
It also vowed in its latest statement to avenge what it said was the desecration of the Koran in Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison, the Iraqi city of Basra and the U.S. base in Guantanamo.
A report in Newsweek magazine's May 9 issue about U.S. interrogators desecrating the Koran sparked protests across the Muslim world. Newsweek later retracted the report.

Egyptian Christian held in mental hospital
May 24, 2005 2005 WorldNetDaily.com
Doctors say he'll stay there until he recants conversion from Islam
Doctors in a Cairo mental hospital are holding an Egyptian Christian against his will, telling the man he'll be a permanent resident there until he recants his faith and returns to Islam, reports a leading monitor of Christian persecution.
Reminiscent of the tactics of Communists in the USSR who put dissidents in mental hospitals, the forced stay, according to Voice of the Martyrs, has been in effect since January. At that time, the adoptive parents of Gaser Mohammed Mahmoud, 30, committed him to the El-Khanka Hospital after learning he had converted from Islam to Christianity two years earlier.
Reports Voice of the Martyrs:
"The hospital medical committee placed Mahmoud under the care of a female physician identified only as Dr. Nevine, whom sources describe as a 'fanatic Muslim.' Since his forced confinement, Mahmoud has reportedly endured beatings, whippings and potentially fatal injections."
Visiting Cairo yesterday, first lady Laura Bush praised Egypt for making political reforms and agreed those changes were being implemented at the proper pace – slowly.
"You have to be slow as you do each of these steps," she told reporters. "You know that each step is a small step, that you can't be quick. ... I think [President Hosni Mubarak has] been very bold and wise to take the first step."
Egyptian opposition groups, however, say the step has not been bold enough and that change is too slow.
Tomorrow, Egyptians are scheduled to vote on a constitutional amendment establishing the country's first direct presidential elections with more than one candidate.
Persecution of Christians has been a way of life in Egypt, consisting of routine harassment of members of the Coptic Church and other believers there.

| Bush urged: Never apologize to Muslims
Administration officials reportedly inspired by classic John Wayne movie
June 7, 2005 2005 WorldNetDaily.com
Some members of the Bush administration have taken a cue from a classic John Wayne Western and are advising their boss to take the film's advice – "Never apologize" – when dealing with Muslims, reports geopolitical analysts Jack Wheeler.
In a column on his intelligence website, To the Point, Wheeler explains Wayne's "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon," made in 1948, though lesser known than many of the star's films, includes what's been called one of the top 100 movie quotes of all time.
Wayne's character, Capt. Nathan Brittles, who is facing an Indian attack, advises a junior officer: "Never apologize, son. It's a sign of weakness."
It's that attitude that some employees of the Pentagon, State Department and White House are urging President Bush to take when dealing with charges of Quran desecration and other allegations from radical Muslims. They've even sent a DVD copy of the film to the commander in chief.
"Their numbers are small," explains Wheeler, "but they are seriously sick and tired of squishing-out to the hadjis (the nickname our soldiers give the Muslim terrorists in Iraq and their sympathizers – pronounced 'hah-geez,' referring to the Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca called the hadj). These sympathizers now include not just rioters on Pakistani streets but Newsweek magazine and Amnesty International.
"'The more we kiss the hadjis' tushes, the more they denounce us and the less they respect us,' one of them told me. 'Just take a look at the DOD's procedures for the handling and inspecting of detainee Korans . You won't believe how impossibly respectful and careful they are. What good does this do us? All we get is lies, lawsuits and riots in return.'"
Wheeler says the goal of the John Wayne aficionados is to eliminate any "We're sorry" message in State Department cables and communiqués, National Security Council analyses, and Pentagon press briefings – "and inserting in their place, however subtly worded in diplo-speak, the message: 'If you don't like it, stuff it.'"
In his column, Wheeler quotes from a message the anti-apology staffers would like to see in a future Bush speech:
I want to make it very clear that neither this administration nor the American military nor the American people owe an apology whatsoever to the religion of Islam and its believers. The American people have every right to take enormous pride in the respect which our military treats believers in Islam, and in the fact that the American military is not just the most powerful but the most humanitarian fighting force in the history of humankind. It is the Islamic terrorists and their followers who owe us an apology for making war on us, and owe an apology to their fellow believers in Islam for making war on them.
Writes Wheeler: "So cross your fingers he takes the movie and the message to heart. The day the president of the United States announces that Muslims owe an apology to us and not the other way around will be the day we truly begin to win this war."

Twenty-Five Years of Suicide Bombings
Lebanon’s civil war is believed to have been the backdrop for the first modern suicide bombing. The Islamic Dawa Party, a Shi-ite political organization in Iraq, reportedly orchestrated a car bombing at the Iraqi embassy in Beirut, Lebanon, in December 1981. Sixty-one people were killed.

| Jihad - The Age: The aim: Muslim state from Spain to
July 18, 2005 Australia Nick Meo
The accents were from the north of England. It was hard to know whether the scruffy, earnest and clearly hostile young men crowded into a smelly flat in Lahore were really dangerous, or whether they were just playing at being jihadis.
They didn't look like ruthless terrorists. Some were only old enough to grow wispy beards. It was pretty clear they wouldn't fit in at home, if they still considered Britain home. Most seemed to be running away from life in Britain.
The young men - all members of an extreme Islamic group al-Muhajiroun (The Migrants) - would have applauded last week's London bombings.
They told me in 2003 they hated Britain, and they clearly felt left out of white society. They loathed everything about the West. The values of the infidels were sick, corrupt and empty, they said. Pornography, booze, exploitation. They couldn't see anything in British society that was positive. The young men, mostly from Manchester or Yorkshire, were united by their cause - a pure Islamic state.
Advertisement AdvertisementSajeel Shahid, their emir, explained that al-Muhajiroun had sent them out to Pakistan because it was ripe for an Islamic revolution. If Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf fell, other apostate rulers would follow, he believed.
Pakistan is the strongest military power in the Islamic world, the only Muslim nation to possess nuclear weapons, which the faithful badly want to get their hands on.
Sajeel's eyes were shining as he set out his ambition of achieving the Khalifat, a pure Islamic state stretching from Spain to Indonesia. His young acolytes looked on admiringly. Spain was Muslim once and must be again, he said. The previous day Sajeel had spoken at a political rally in Lahore. He was charismatic and well received. Pakistanis respect us because we have given up the comforts of life in Britain to struggle for Islam," he said afterwards.
In 2001, the group's spokesman, Hassan Butt, boasted about the group's contribution to al-Qaeda's war effort and the battle they would fight one day on British streets against military and political targets. "Our father's generation has been soft for too long. Too many of them sell alcohol and pornography," he said. "It is time they made some sacrifices for Islam. The young generation is ready."
In 2001 Butt surrendered to British police after he had fallen out with al-Muhajiroun. His wealthy businessman father, a pillar of Manchester society, had been horrified by his wayward son.
The organisation al-Muhajiroun was founded in 1986 by Omar Bakri Mohammed, a notorious Syrian-born cleric based in North London and nicknamed the Ayatollah of Tottenham. In universities and mosques it recruits an odd mix of intellectuals and misfits. Most of the boys in Lahore were graduates. "I could have made a lot of money in computers, but what is that compared to serving Islam?" one of them told me. Its ideology is Islamist and supremacist.
One former member, Ali Qureshi, left because he likened the organisation to a cult. He claimed that during the 2001 Afghan war Bakri sent thousands of dollars for the Taliban - collected in British mosques - as well as hundreds of young recruits to Afghanistan. Many died.
He decided to leave when the father of a British teenager begged him for news of his son. Al-Muhajiroun had ordered him to say nothing about the 15-year-old. "They catch these young guys and do brainwashing on them," he said.

We are at war: I am a soldier
02/09/2005 By Anton La Guardia, Diplomatic Editor and Neil Tweedie
Mohammad Sidique Khan, the suspected leader of the July 7 London suicide bombers, vowed in a video statement released last night that al-Qa'eda would continue to attack western countries because of "atrocities" they had committed across the Islamic world.
The former teaching assistant from West Yorkshire, who blew himself up at Edgware Road station, killing six people and wounding 120, cast himself as the avenger of downtrodden Muslims, declaring: "We are at war and I am a soldier."
His video was issued by al-Qa'eda to al-Jazeera, the Arab satellite channel, with an accompanying commentary by Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden's right-hand man.
The slick video includes a subtitle describing the "martyr" Khan as "One of the knights of the blessed raids on London". It is designed to place the blame for the attacks that killed 52 people and wounded more than 700 others on Tony Blair and his policy in the Middle East.
It also seeks to strengthen the claim that the July 7 bombings were a genuine al-Qa'eda-sponsored operation.
Khan was filmed wearing a dark coat and a red-and-white Arab headscarf, folded in the Saudi manner. He sat in a room against a decorated cloth, with no obvious clues as to when or where the recording was made.
After reciting an Islamic prayer, Khan declared in a broad Yorkshire accent: "Our words have no impact upon you. Therefore I'm going to talk to you in language that you will understand. Our words are dead until we give them life with our blood."
The core of his message tried to justify the killing of civilians. "Your democratically elected governments continuously perpetrate atrocities against my people all over the world. And your support for them makes you directly responsible, just like I am directly responsible for protecting and avenging my Muslim brothers and sisters.
"Until we feel security, you will be our targets. Until you stop the bombing, gassing and imprisonment of my people, we will not stop this fight. We are at war and I am a soldier. Now you will taste the reality of this situation."
Khan made no direct mention of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. However, he hailed bin Laden, Zawahiri, and the Iraqi terror mastermind Abu Musab al-Zarqawi as "our beloved sheikhs".
Zawahiri, a former Egyptian doctor regarded as the operational mastermind behind al-Qa'eda, said the bombings were a "slap in the face" for Mr Blair. He said al-Qa'eda had "moved our battle right to the enemy's doorstep".
He said: "We have repeated again and again, and here we are warning one more time - all those who took part in the aggression on Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine, we will respond in kind. And as they have let rivers of blood run in our countries, we will, God willing, erupt volcanoes of anger in their countries."
Intelligence experts in Britain and elsewhere will scrutinise the latest video for clues. Khan had no weapon and held only a biro, while Zawahiri was filmed next to a grenade launcher. This may indicate that Khan was filmed in Britain rather than Pakistan or Afghanistan.
The two-month delay in releasing the video is unexplained, but there have been suspicions that al-Qa'eda videos contain coded signals for further attacks. Alternatively, the makers may have been waiting to obtain Zawahiri's video before releasing it.
The tape bore the "al-Sahab" logo, meaning "The Clouds", which is a signature of al-Qa'eda videos.
Khan, 30, is the oldest of the four men involved in the attacks, and is believed to have selected and indoctrinated his fellow bombers.
A teaching assistant from Dewsbury, West Yorks, he used book shops in Leeds to recruit youths. They included two of the July 7 bombers, Shehzad Tanweer, 22, and Hasib Mir Hussain, 18.
It is believed that Khan may have visited Pakistan several times, and possibly Afghanistan. He was also reported to have visited Israel for one day in February 2003, when he may have helped in the preparation of a suicide bombing in Tel Aviv involving two young British Pakistanis.
Downing Street declined to comment on the video. However, David Davis, the shadow home secretary, said the nation would be sickened by the tape. "Nothing can justify the murder of innocent people," he said.
A committee member at Leeds Islamic Centre, Arshad Hanif, said Muslims would be "horrified" if there was more planning to the attacks than everybody thought.
