$2.2 trillion illegal alien taxpayer sticker shock
2/3 of immigrants cost Americans $22,449 a year, shows new study

WASHINGTON – Someone has finally fixed an approximate taxpayer cost of between 12 million and 15 million illegal aliens residing in the U.S.

A new study by the Heritage Foundation's Robert Rector found a household headed by an individual without a high school education, including about two-thirds of illegal aliens, costs U.S. taxpayers more than $32,000 in federal, state and local benefits. That same family contributes an average of $9,000 a year in taxes, resulting in a net tax burden of $22,449 each year.

Over the course of the household's lifetime that tax burden translates to $1.1 million.

If the lower figure of 12 million illegal aliens is used for estimation purposes, the total tax burden translates to $2.2 trillion.

"Would any of us buy shares in a company that we knew would produce a loss of a million dollars a share," asks Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, in response to the study. "Cheap labor is not cheap at the cost of over a million dollars per head of household."

Rector's study, "The Fiscal Cost of Low-Skill Households to the U.S. Taxpayer," examines the economics of the 17.7 million American households made up of people without a high-school degree. Using numbers from the Census Bureau, the Congressional Research Service, the Bureau of Labor Standards and other government agencies, Rector determined what they earn, what they spend and what they receive in government services.

About half of the 17.7 million households studied are illegal aliens. About two-thirds of illegal alien households are headed by someone without a high school degree. Only 10 percent of native-born Americans fit into that category.

"Over the next ten years the total cost of low-skill households to the taxpayer (immediate benefits minus taxes paid) is likely to be at least $3.9 trillion," Rector writes. "This number would go up significantly if changes in immigration policy lead to substantial increases in the number of low-skill immigrants entering the country and receiving services."

Illegal Activists Plan May Day Boycott

March 16, 2007   By Payton Hoegh  CNSNews.com Correspondent     Copyright 1998-2006 Cybercast News Service

(CNSNews.com) - Ilegal activist groups called Thursday for an end to raids and deportations of illegal aliens and are planning a May Day boycott to press home their demands.

In recent months, federal authorities have arrested hundreds of illegals in raids on businesses that employ them.  Critics of the crackdown say lawmakers must "approve fair and pro-illegal, pro-workers immigration reform and end the terror launched by the Bush administration on illegal communities nationwide."

Participants in the "Great American Boycott" say they will not shop, work, go to school or participate in any economic activity on May 1, but will instead hold rallies.  The movement's website encourages supporters to join with them "against a common enemy: the U.S. government." Similar campaigns last spring called for pro-illegal reform.  At a press conference Thursday, speakers from organizations including labor and anti-war groups spoke out against the crackdown.  Bishop Felipe C. Teixeira of the Immigration Pastoral Center in Massachusetts said that the recent raids had shown "the face of racism and discrimination."  "No human being is illegal," Teixeira said. "Together, united, we can defeat the imperialism of the U.S.A."

Emma Lozano of the Chicago illegals-rights group Centro Sin Fronteras suggested that the best way to gain recognition from the government was to use economic power.  "We need to stand up and show them that we will hurt them in their pockets," Lozano said.  "This country has exploited the undocumented labor for over a century and grown rich off of it," she said, adding that "we are not asking for anything, we are demanding our rights."

Other speakers echoed her call, citing instances of abuse in the workplace or describing the effects of the immigration raids.

Susan Tully of the Federation for American Immigration Reform told Cybercast News Service it's laughable that illegals expect to be handed legalization.  "We don't crack down on immigrants. We crack down on illegals," she said. "They've broken the law in coming here, and now they are protesting our enforcing those laws."   Tully said she supports the legalization of illegals, but only through the necessary immigration channels.   "To do anything less would be a slap in the face to those who have come here legally," Tully said.

As you may be aware, the organization known as the Minuteman Project is currently dealing with internal leadership issues.

Please note that the leadership of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps (MCDC) does NOT have any connections to, nor any influence over the internal issues of the Minuteman Project.

Futhermore, it was incorrectly reported in some media sources, including the Associated Press, that Mr. Tim Bueler was our national media spokesperson. Tim Bueler has never been a media spokesperson for MCDC, and our only connection to him is through a third-party media bookings vendor.  Bueler has never served in any capacity within MCDC nor has he ever represented our organization.

Bryan Rudnick currently serves as our National Communications Director, a position formerly held by Connie Hair -- who continues to be a great advocate for our cause.

For the best interest of the border security and rule of law movements, we wish them well in resolving their issues.

Yours in Freedom,

Chris Simcox

Democrat Congress Committed to Killing US Border Fence

Minuteman Border Fence is the only real barrier being built.

The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps (MCDC) continues EXPANDING Border Security efforts. Now more than ever it is up to a self-governing people to secure the borders of the United States.  MCDC has spent the last two years organizing border watch operations and building effective border fencing with thousands of volunteers to safely and successfully assist the U.S. Border Patrol secure the border from illegal crossings wherever Minutemen are on duty.

In the Tucson sector, the busiest crossing-point on the border, over 500,000 arrests of illegal aliens were made by the Border Patrol in 2005.  Now our unarmed Arizona-deployed National Guard must contend with deliberate “perimeter probes,” and be commended for retreating away from this foreign aggression.  Yes, units of Mexican troops dressed in military uniforms, flak jackets, and armed with AK-47s are now approved to penetrate the border and violate our sovereign U.S. territory -- with no opposition from Washington, DC.

TheDemocrat led Congress applauded President George W. Bush’s State of the Union Address last evening that offers no new plan for resolving the existing border security crisis plaguing our nation.  MCDC believes that inadequate funding for a fence on the U.S.-Mexico border and inadequate enforcement of current immigration laws have exacerbated the problem, yet instead of calling on Congress to increase enforcement, the President demanded passage of amnesty legislation under the guise of “comprehensive immigration reform.”

The Minuteman Border Fence groundbreaking was held in Arizona on Memorial Day weekend 2006.  Then as now, President Bush refused to deploy empowered National Guard and reserve troops to secure America’s out-of-control southern border with Mexico.

That day Ambassador Alan Keyes said “We stand on ground that was not first claimed by the American government -- it was first claimed by the courage, the ingenuity, the perseverance of the American people.”

With that same American courage, ingenuity and perseverance, the Minuteman Border Fence is being installed on private ranches along the border near towns like Bisbee, Naco and Palominas, Arizona.

The Minuteman Border Fence was created to put steel in the ground and demonstrate the feasibility and affordability of securing the border by building a fence barrier.  As a part of the Minuteman Movement, the grassroots initiative that seeks to secure America's sovereign territory against incursion, invasion, and terrorism, this is a wholly citizen-led, volunteer-driven effort -- which needs YOUR committed participation!

U.S. Senate Vote a Smoke Screen, NOT a Real Border Fence!

Senate Votes “For” a Fence to Cover Only 3% of Our Border.   Low Cost Estimates Run $4,000,000 a Mile!

A $1,200,000,000 Political Smoke Screen!  Where is the leadership needed to truly secure our borders from terrorism and illegal alien invasion? Politicians have just voted to put up a smoke screen instead of a real fence. They provide misleading information about border security to make you believe the border is secure. This is not leadership – it is poll watching and electioneering.

Remember that the levees in New Orleans could have been repaired before the city was devastated by a storm that everyone knew was coming. Today, the SENATE APPROVES MEAGER BORDER SECURITY DESIGN, at prohibitively expensive costs per mile, and with what actual result? Just Election Year Politics As Usual – a vote that pretends to provide substantive security, while actually leaving our borders wide open to terrorists, criminals and illegal aliens. And after November – Amnesty will be proposed by many of these same politicians as THE hot political game in town.

Do not let this country be devastated by illegal immigration. Once the Amnesty levee breaks it cannot be repaired! Build the fence TODAY!

Judge current security and integrity of the US Border for yourself: This will [be] left as is, unsecured after with their 3% solution?
Minimal or no fencing – just a wide open frontier.

What are the 6000 military troops doing to secure the border?
Building roadway washout slabs – but where is the fencing?

Talk is NOT CHEAP at $1.2 billion, and the politicians are failing to secure the border.
These politicos are a long way from actually proving to the American people that they want our borders secured, and that they will act with constancy and principle to achieve this U.S. Constitution-dictated obligation of their office.

The American people wisely still do not trust that our government has the political will to secure our borders. As your Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, we will keep pressing our work forward, while we keep their feet to the fire – as our voices are obviously being heard now, even in the elitist United States Senate. But talk will not protect our nation; our borders must be secured from foreign invasion and enemy penetration.

The Minuteman Border Fence – a Cost Effective Reality!
The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps is already building security fences and vehicle barriers on private land using private donations, which have vastly diminished illegal intruders in our sectors. A multi-level design which includes anti-climb fencing, fiber-optic fencing, vehicle barriers and camera systems to observe and report will allow thousands of Minutemen to monitor the border day and night, 365 days a year.

We are continuing to receive emails from dedicated patriots in unqualified support of our mission, recognizing that 97% of the border is not secure, and that government plans do not even exist to have them be secured in the future.

Your help and support is needed NOW! A new one mile segment of fourteen foot high, anti-climb Israeli style double fence barrier with cameras and ground sensors is being installed at our current project at the Hodges Ranch. More than 2.5 miles of fencing is already installed at the Ladd Ranch, and has stopped drug running by 100% and reduced illegal crossings by 60%. A total of 10 miles of fencing projected on the Ladd Ranch will expand the Minuteman barrier deterrent to a full-scale AFFORDABLE demonstration that the U.S. government will have to address in their planning. The Minuteman Border Fence will help local Arizona ranchers and landowners to move forward to secure the U.S. border and stop illegal aliens, criminals and terrorists from violating sovereign American territory.

Be sure to send this to EVERYONE you know who wants to help STOP illegal aliens at the border NOW! We invite and welcome your assistance. Thank you!

Sincerely for America,
