Platoon

CT = Camera Tower
Platoon outpost are located every eight miles covering 4 miles in both directions.  Camera Towers cover the empty spaces giving reaction force time to move into position by ground and helicopter to capture illegals.

    8 MILES CAN BE COVERED USING A PLATOON OF        28 MEN
  32 MILES CAN BE COVERED USING A COMPANY OF     180 MEN
128 MILES CAN BE COVERED USING A BATTALION OF   740 MEN
512 MILES CAN BE COVERED USING A REGIMENT OF  2972 MEN
    1 Division of 3 REGIMENTS CAN COVER THE ENTIRE SOUTHERN BORDER USING JUST 8936 MEN
    For about $286 million a year.  This is far cheaper than the 1.2 billion for the "proposed 700 mile fence" that will never be funded.
    Far cheaper yet than the billions spent yearly on illegals welfare, medical care, and free schooling.

Configure a fast response military Division specific for border duty as:

1665 miles of border / 512 = Only 3 Regiments required to close border

Cities should not be patrolled by the military.  Cities are patrolled by civilians and this fills the 29 mile gap left by using just 3 Regiments.  In fact El Paso alone is almost that length, so we may have an overage.  I have no real way to compute that actual value

Computing salaries at $32,000 per year.  Less if you use military.  $285,952,000
This cost is vastly less than the billions we currently spend on illegals.
